Description
A project by Mantis Games (Teaser).
An LBVR game for 4 to 8 people where you need to save an interstellar space farm from adorably obnoxious fruits. I designed the first prototype, and helped with most of the programming.
This project was pitched as a potential experience to a local LBVR entertainment provider. The original idea came from my love for the excellent Slime Rancher. I believed something colorful and wholesome would be a great addition to the LBVR entertainment space.

USPs
The project was designed with the following USPs in mind, as we believed they'd contribute to both the player experience and the of the project:
- Colorful Contrast: Most of the experiences that were available at the time were often dark and serious (zombie wave shooters). This project would have offered a more light-hearted experience. It is also known that high contrast imagery helps with gaining people's attention.
- Family Friendly: The NPCs in the game being sentient fruits would have made it instantly understandable for anyone, regardless of age. At the same time, placing them in a 'space farm' setting made the whole thing more unique, and something worth experiencing.
- Story Focused: To tie the whole game together, we came up with a story that included the players visiting different locations to capture all the escaped fruits. It would have ended with a boss fight climax to give the whole thing a natural ending.
